What Is An Enduring Guardian?

Lots of people confuse what a Power of Attorney is with what is an Enduring Guardian.

A lot of people focus on dealing with serious events in life such as a stroke or death by making an enduring Power of Attorney and a Will.

Most of them however don’t think about what happens if they find themselves are unable to make health related medical decisions due to an illness or accident.

An Enduring Guardian is someone you appoint to make lifestyle, health and medical decisions for you when you are not capable of doing this for yourself.

They can make decisions such as where you live, what services are provided to you at home and what medical treatment you receive.

Enduring Guardianship only comes into effect if or when you lose capacity. It will only be effective during the period of incapacity, therefore, it may never become operational.

Call us now to arrange to make an Enduring Guardianship appointment.
